Recently, the International Economic and Technological Cooperation Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) led a delegation to Dakar, the capital of Senegal, and jointly held the China-Senegal Green Industrialization Partnership Working Meeting with the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Senegal. The event was supported by the Africa Climate Foundation. As a co-implementing unit of the project, CTC participated in policy dialogue, strategic exchanges, and thematic sessions throughout the visit, and joined the delegation in on-site industrial inspections. Leveraging its full-chain technical capabilities in standards, testing, and certification, CTC helped advance practical cooperation on China-Senegal green industrialization.

During the meeting, Serigne Guèye Diop, Minister of Industry and Trade of Senegal, and Zheng Hong, Director of the International Economic and Technological Cooperation Center of MIIT, attended and delivered speeches. Yan Haochun, Technical Director of CTC, shared China’s industrial green development journey, NQI construction practices, and CTC’s business experience in Africa. He also put forward professional recommendations in conjunction with the Senegal 2050 Vision, which were highly recognized by the Senegalese side. All parties conducted in-depth exchanges on multiple topics, including the ministerial dialogue mechanism, policy alignment, and mutual recognition of standards, in order to implement the outcomes of the 2024 Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) and related joint statements. Important consensus was reached, laying a solid foundation for the long-term development of the partnership.

Next, CTC will work with all parties to closely align with Senegal’s actual needs and focus on concrete practices in standards alignment, technical capacity building, and China-Senegal industrial exchange and cooperation, providing substantive support for deepening the China-Senegal Green Industrialization Partnership.
