China Testing & Certification International Group Co., Ltd. (CTC, Stock Code 603060) originated from the testing and certification business of China Building Materials Academy in the 1950s. After 70 years of unremitting efforts and persistent pursuit, the company has formed five business categories: detection and testing, certification and evaluation, testing instruments and intelligent manufacturing, measurement and calibration, scientific research and technical services, committed to providing customers with technical services and comprehensive solutions of detection and testing, certification and evaluation, appraisal, consultation, training, and instruments and equipment in fields of quality, environmental protection, green, safety, health, and energy conservation.

The internal combustion engine cylinder head gasket industry in China has continuously evolved with the advancement of engine technology. In the 1980s and 1990s, following the initial expansion of the passenger and commercial vehicle markets, cylinder head gaskets entered mass production. Metal-asbestos composite gaskets were the mainstream product, primarily meeting basic sealing needs for medium/low-speed, low-power engines. However, they posed environmental concerns (asbestos) and suffered from insufficient high-temperature sealing performance. Since the turn of the century, driven by stricter national environmental policies, increased engine power output, and tighter emission regulations, the industry transformed toward non-asbestos, composite-reinforced designs. Materials evolved to include metal-rubber composites, multi-layer steel (MLS), and flexible graphite reinforced structures. Precision formed features like embossed beads and stopper layers enabled reliable sealing of high-temperature, high-pressure combustion gases. In recent years, the widespread adoption of high-efficiency engine technologies (turbocharging, direct injection) and the development of hybrid-dedicated engines have imposed stringent requirements: resistance to thermal cycling, resistance to bolt preload loss, and compatibility with lightweight cylinder blocks. Coupled with standard updates like JB/T 7762-2018, the industry is accelerating toward precision forming, advanced composites, and custom-fit solutions. Today, China is a leading global producer of internal combustion engine cylinder head gaskets, covering all engine types (gasoline for passenger cars, diesel for commercial vehicles, high-power for construction machinery) and adapting to the full range of engine displacements (from 1.0L to 13L).
We have set up a dedicated engine sealing testing team. Based on engine type, power rating, and operating characteristics (turbo/naturally aspirated, water/air-cooled), we provide customized testing services—including performance and reliability—helping to secure the core sealing integrity of engines.
