China Testing & Certification International Group Co., Ltd. (CTC, Stock Code 603060) originated from the testing and certification business of China Building Materials Academy in the 1950s. After 70 years of unremitting efforts and persistent pursuit, the company has formed five business categories: detection and testing, certification and evaluation, testing instruments and intelligent manufacturing, measurement and calibration, scientific research and technical services, committed to providing customers with technical services and comprehensive solutions of detection and testing, certification and evaluation, appraisal, consultation, training, and instruments and equipment in fields of quality, environmental protection, green, safety, health, and energy conservation.

China's mica industry has transitioned from extensive resource utilization to precise delamination and functional modification, driven by the evolving demands for insulation, heat resistance, and filling properties in downstream industries. In the 1980s and 1990s, relying on high-quality mica resources in Altay (Xinjiang), Danba (Sichuan), Tumd Right Banner (Inner Mongolia), and other regions, the industry focused on mining and simple delamination. Products included ordinary mica sheets (thickness ≥ 0.1 mm) and coarsely crushed mica powder (fineness ≤ 200 mesh), mainly used in basic fields such as motor insulation materials, common paint fillers, and refractory aggregate, characterized by low delamination efficiency, high impurity content, and simple functionality.
Since the turn of the century, demands from the electronics information industry (electronic component insulation), high-end building materials (functional coatings), and new energy (battery separator filling), along with policy regulations, have driven the industry's transformation toward precise delamination, ultra-fine processing, and surface modification. Thinner flakes are achieved through mechanical delamination and classification processes. Ultra-fine grinding technologies overcome fineness limitations, leading to the development of electronic-grade thin mica flakes, ultra-fine mica powder, and modified composite mica. This has enabled breakthroughs in applications such as insulation layers for electronic components, pearlescent effects in high-end coatings, and reinforcement for lithium battery separators.
In recent years, high-end demands from 5G communications (insulation for high-frequency devices), aerospace (high-temperature resistant insulation materials), and high-end daily chemicals (pearlescent pigments in cosmetics) have emerged. Coupled with the evolution of relevant standards, the industry is accelerating its upgrade toward efficient resource utilization and high-end product customization. Today, China is the world's largest producer and consumer of mica, with products covering the full range: natural mica sheets, mica powder, mica paper, and mica composite materials. These are widely used in dozens of fields, including electronics, building materials, new energy, aerospace, and daily chemicals.
We have set up a dedicated mica mineral testing team. Based on product type and application scenario (electronic insulation, coating filler, lithium battery separator, daily chemical raw material), we provide customized testing services—including delamination degree determination, fineness analysis, impurity screening (iron, calcium), and high-temperature performance testing—helping products build advantages in performance optimization and regulatory compliance.
