China Testing & Certification International Group Co., Ltd. (CTC, Stock Code 603060) originated from the testing and certification business of China Building Materials Academy in the 1950s. After 70 years of unremitting efforts and persistent pursuit, the company has formed five business categories: detection and testing, certification and evaluation, testing instruments and intelligent manufacturing, measurement and calibration, scientific research and technical services, committed to providing customers with technical services and comprehensive solutions of detection and testing, certification and evaluation, appraisal, consultation, training, and instruments and equipment in fields of quality, environmental protection, green, safety, health, and energy conservation.

The industry of brake blocks for high-speed railways and subways in China has gradually matured alongside the leapfrog development of rail transit. At the beginning of this century, with the commencement of high-speed railway construction and the initial operation of subway networks, brake blocks were mainly imported. Domestic enterprises focused on imitating semi-metallic brake shoes to meet the basic braking needs of low-speed rail transit. After 2010, with the completion of the “Four Vertical and Four Horizontal” high-speed railway network and the surge in subway passenger volume, stringent requirements were imposed on brake blocks, including high-temperature resistance, thermal crack resistance, low wear, and adaptability to regenerative braking systems. This drove the material iteration towards powder metallurgy brake shoes and carbon-ceramic composite brake blocks, achieving domestic substitution and performance breakthroughs. In recent years, the development of new types of rail transit, such as the Fuxing intelligent high-speed train and suburban express rail, combined with the iterative strengthening of standards, has accelerated the industry's upgrade towards lightweight design, long service life, and intelligent monitoring. Currently, China has become the world’s largest producer of brake blocks for high-speed railways and subways, with products covering the full spectrum of rail transit vehicles, including 160 km/h suburban railways, 350 km/h high-speed trains, and high-capacity subways.
We have established a specialized rail transit brake testing team, offering customized testing services for friction performance, thermal stability, wheel-rail compatibility, and more, based on speed class and operational scenarios (mainline high-speed railway, underground subway, plateau lines), helping products build a core defense line for the safe operation of rail transit.
