Near-zero Energy Buildings Products Certification

Against the backdrop of comprehensively advancing energy conservation and carbon reduction in the building sector and implementing the “Dual Carbon” strategy, nearly zero energy buildings have become a key building type for industry transformation. With the in-depth implementation of policies such as the “14th Five-Year Plan for Building Energy Efficiency and Green Building Development” and the “Work Plan for Accelerating Energy Conservation and Carbon Reduction in the Building Sector,” the state has set clear development goals and technical requirements for nearly zero energy buildings, opening up broad space for the application of high-quality building materials.

As the core foundation for realizing the “passive priority” energy-saving strategy in buildings, the performance of key components such as external windows, thermal insulation materials, shading products, and waterproof vapor-permeable/vapor-barrier materials is crucial. The national standard GB/T 51350-2019 “Technical Standard for Nearly Zero Energy Buildings” sets strict requirements for the performance of such materials, providing fundamental guidance for material selection. Based on this, CTC, as a leading domestic third-party inspection and certification institution, fully leverages its integrated advantages of “standards + testing + certification,” and together with industry organizations and key enterprises, has developed a specialized evaluation standards system reaching international levels (T/NAIC 003-2021 to 006-2021), and accordingly launched the “Certification for Products Used in Nearly Zero Energy Buildings.”

This certification aims to strictly select high-performance building materials and precisely support the material selection needs of nearly zero energy buildings, ensuring that product performance matches building energy efficiency goals. Through promoting certified products, we are committed to driving high-quality development of the industry and contributing to the construction of green, low-carbon, and sustainable urban and rural human settlements.
