II. Subject Introduction

The professional qualification examination for Intermediate Certified Safety Engineers is a national unified examination organized by professional category. The examination subjects consist of three common subjects: "Work Safety Laws and Regulations", "Work Safety Management", and "Basic Work Safety Technology", and one professional subject: "Work Safety Professional Practice". The "Work Safety Professional Practice" subject is divided into seven professional categories: Coal Mine Safety, Metal and Non-metal Mine Safety, Chemical Safety, Metal Smelting Safety, Construction Safety, Road Transport Safety, and Other Safety (excluding fire safety). Among these, "Work Safety Laws and Regulations", "Work Safety Management", and "Basic Work Safety Technology" are objective subjects; "Work Safety Professional Practice" is a mixed subject of objective and subjective questions.

III. Policy Requirements

Article 27 of the Work Safety Law: Units engaged in the production, storage, and handling of hazardous materials, as well as mines and metal smelting units, shall have certified safety engineers engaged in work safety management. Other production and business units are encouraged to employ certified safety engineers to engage in work safety management.

The Classification Management Measures for Certified Safety Engineers: The proportion of Intermediate and above certified safety engineers among work safety management personnel in hazardous materials production and storage units and mining units shall reach approximately 15% within two years from the implementation date of these Measures, and for metal smelting units, within five years, and shall gradually increase.
