China Testing & Certification International Group Co., Ltd. (CTC, Stock Code 603060) originated from the testing and certification business of China Building Materials Academy in the 1950s. After 70 years of unremitting efforts and persistent pursuit, the company has formed five business categories: detection and testing, certification and evaluation, testing instruments and intelligent manufacturing, measurement and calibration, scientific research and technical services, committed to providing customers with technical services and comprehensive solutions of detection and testing, certification and evaluation, appraisal, consultation, training, and instruments and equipment in fields of quality, environmental protection, green, safety, health, and energy conservation.

China's gypsum industry has transitioned from single-source mining to coordinated development of natural and recycled resources, alongside advancements in resource utilization technology and diversified downstream demand. In the 1980s and 1990s, relying on natural gypsum resources in Shandong, Inner Mongolia, and other regions, the industry focused on mining and primary grinding. Products were mostly dihydrate gypsum powder (purity ≤ 85%), mainly used in basic building materials such as gypsum plasterboards and cement retarders, characterized by low resource utilization and severe product homogeneity.
Since the turn of the century, high-end development in the building materials industry, stricter environmental policies, and upgraded demand in pharmaceuticals and food have driven the industry's transformation toward deep processing and byproduct utilization. High-strength gypsum (compressive strength ≥ 15 MPa) and alpha-type high-strength gypsum are produced by calcining natural gypsum. Industrial byproduct gypsum (FGD gypsum from flue gas desulfurization, phosphogypsum) is purified, modified, and utilized, leading to the development of medical-grade gypsum bandages, food additive gypsum, and high-end mold plaster, enabling breakthroughs in high-end building materials, medical fixation, and food processing applications.
In recent years, demand has arisen from emerging fields like new energy (lithium battery cathode material additives) and 3D printing (gypsum-based filament). Coupled with the evolution of standards, the industry is accelerating its upgrade toward resource recycling and high-end products. Today, China is the world's largest producer and consumer of gypsum, with products covering the full range: natural gypsum (dihydrate and anhydrite), industrial byproduct gypsum products, and functional gypsum materials. These are widely used in dozens of fields, including building materials, medicine and health, food processing, new energy, and environmental protection.
We have set up a dedicated gypsum mineral testing team. Based on product type and application scenario (high-end building materials, medical excipients, food additives, lithium battery raw materials), we provide customized testing services—including grade analysis, strength testing, purity determination, impurity screening (e.g., heavy metals, chlorides), and hydration performance evaluation—helping products build advantages in performance optimization and regulatory compliance.
