China Testing & Certification International Group Co., Ltd. (CTC, Stock Code 603060) originated from the testing and certification business of China Building Materials Academy in the 1950s. After 70 years of unremitting efforts and persistent pursuit, the company has formed five business categories: detection and testing, certification and evaluation, testing instruments and intelligent manufacturing, measurement and calibration, scientific research and technical services, committed to providing customers with technical services and comprehensive solutions of detection and testing, certification and evaluation, appraisal, consultation, training, and instruments and equipment in fields of quality, environmental protection, green, safety, health, and energy conservation.

China's chrysotile asbestos industry has undergone a transformation from resource-dominance to regulated development, driven by industrial demands for fiber reinforcement, sealing, and insulation materials. In the 1980s and 1990s, relying on high-quality chrysotile resources in Shimian County (Sichuan) and Mang'ai (Qinghai), the industry focused on mining and simple sorting. Products were primarily primary asbestos fibers (length 2-5 mm) and asbestos yarn, mainly used in basic fields such as asbestos-cement products, brake friction materials, and common sealing gaskets. At that time, production processes were extensive, with fiber utilization efficiency below 60% and lacking systematic environmental control measures.
Since the turn of the century, industrial equipment upgrades (e.g., high-end machine tool seals) and stricter environmental policies have driven the industry's transformation toward fine sorting, fiber modification, and safe utilization. Through processes like air classification and impurity removal to enhance fiber purity (chrysotile content ≥ 90%), specialized products have been developed, including long-fiber (≥ 8 mm) and ultra-fine fiber (diameter ≤ 0.5 μm) types. This has enabled breakthroughs in applications such as high-end sealing materials, high-temperature resistant insulation products, and friction material reinforcement.
In recent years, despite facing competition from substitute materials in some fields, chrysotile asbestos remains irreplaceable in critical applications like nuclear power seals and aerospace specialty friction components. Coupled with evolving standards, the industry is accelerating its upgrade toward efficient utilization of limited resources and high-end product customization. Today, China is a major global producer of chrysotile asbestos, with products covering raw ore, refined fiber, and semi-finished asbestos products, precisely serving niche markets in sealing, friction, and insulation.
We have set up a dedicated chrysotile asbestos testing team. Based on product type and application scenario (high-end sealing, friction reinforcement, insulation materials), we provide customized testing services—including fiber length distribution, tensile strength, heat resistance, heavy metal content, and dust control parameters—helping products achieve a balance between safety compliance and performance suitability.
